What have we been doing?
For the month of December during our NWEA testing, I visited the classroom during their technology time. We used the iPads to explore, learn, and create. Many students were able to practice their spelling words, math problems, and sight words using the EduCreations app. With this app, the students were able to use the whiteboard function and also record themselves working out their math problems or writing their spelling words.
Another function of the iPads was FUN! Many students choose interactive books, piano or violin playing, math games, word games, and even photos.
Many classroom teachers also sign out the iPads on a weekly basis to use as learning centers and for explore time during their daily classtime. Many use them with instruction and research, then use them for story writing or research papers.
